Scope
Rayem Pay operates a Stripe Connect platform that lets e-commerce stores established in the United States accept online payments. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Each store is the seller and the merchant of record for the products and services it offers. The store's name appears on the shopper's card statement. Each store sets its own return and refund policy, which it must display on its website.
This policy explains how a shopper gets a refund, how Rayem Pay steps in when something goes wrong, and how Rayem Pay handles disputes and chargebacks. The terms that apply between Rayem Pay and the stores are set out in our Terms of Service.
Requesting a refund
To request a refund for a purchase paid through Rayem Pay:
- 1Contact the store first
Its contact details are on its website and in your order confirmation. The store handles your request under its own return policy.
- 2No answer? Contact Rayem Pay
If the store doesn't reply within 7 days, or if you disagree with its answer, contact us at rayemamby99@gmail.com or +1 (628) 290-2998.
- 3We follow up with the store
Rayem Pay reviews your request with the store. If the store's policy or applicable law entitles you to a refund, we make sure it's processed. We reply within 1 business day.
Please include in your message:
- your order number;
- the store's name and website;
- the date and amount of the purchase;
- the last 4 digits of the card used;
- a short description of the issue.
Refund timing
Refunds are issued by the store, under its own return policy, and are deducted from the store's balance. Full and partial refunds are possible.
Once a refund is processed, the money goes back to the original payment method. Banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show it on your statement.
If you still don't see a refund after 10 business days, contact your bank first, then Rayem Pay with the refund date and amount.
Disputes and chargebacks
You can always dispute a charge with your bank. This is called a chargeback, and it's available on Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Contacting the store first is often faster, but it isn't required.
When a dispute is opened on a store's payment, here's what happens:
- Stripe notifies Rayem Pay, and Rayem Pay alerts the store right away.
- The store sends its evidence, such as proof of delivery, tracking, or messages with the customer, within 3 business days.
- Rayem Pay prepares the response and submits it to Stripe within the card network's deadline.
- The card issuer makes the final decision. Neither Rayem Pay nor the store decides the outcome.
Card networks set the deadlines. A dispute can take from a few weeks to several months to be resolved.
Who bears the cost of a dispute
Rayem Pay is liable to Stripe for the disputes, chargebacks, and negative balances of the stores on its platform. Here's how the cost of a lost dispute is shared with the store.
Rayem Pay absorbs the loss
If the store shipped the order and sent its evidence on time, and the dispute is still lost, Rayem Pay absorbs the loss. The amount is not deducted from the store's payouts.
The store bears the loss
The disputed amount is deducted from the store's balance or reserve, and the store must reimburse Rayem Pay, when the store:
- did not deliver the order;
- did not send its evidence within 3 business days;
- misdescribed the product or service;
- sold a prohibited or restricted product;
- committed fraud or breached our Terms of Service.
Stripe's dispute fees are paid by Rayem Pay. Any negative balance with Stripe is covered by Rayem Pay.
Fees
Rayem Pay charges the store 7% + $0.30 per successful transaction. The fee is deducted automatically from each payment.
- No setup fee, no subscription, and no long-term commitment.
- Stripe's processing fees are paid by Rayem Pay out of its fee.
- Rayem Pay's fee is not returned when a payment is refunded.
- No dispute fee is charged to the store.
Shoppers never pay any fee to Rayem Pay.
Payouts and reserves
Once a store's account is fully active, its funds are paid out to its US bank account every 2 business days. For new accounts, the first payout may be delayed until the first orders have shipped.
Depending on its risk profile, Rayem Pay may hold a rolling reserve on part of a store's payouts. The terms are shared in writing at onboarding, and the reserve is released on the agreed schedule.
If an account is closed, funds may be held for up to 120 days to cover disputes that arrive after closure.
Store commitments
To be onboarded and to stay on Rayem Pay, each store must:
- be a business established in the United States, with a US bank account;
- sell only lawful products and services that comply with Stripe's list of restricted businesses;
- display its own return and refund policy on its website;
- ship orders within the timelines it announces;
- reply to customer requests within 7 days at most;
- send dispute evidence within 3 business days when asked.
Rayem Pay reviews every application and may decline it. Either party can end the relationship at any time. Rayem Pay may suspend payouts or close an account when it detects a risk. The full merchant terms are in our Terms of Service.
Your rights and governing law
Nothing in this policy limits the rights shoppers have with their bank, including the right to a chargeback, or the rights they have under federal and state consumer protection laws.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the current version. Material changes are announced to stores in advance.
