Who we are

This website and the Rayem Pay platform are operated by Rayem NA LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company doing business as Rayem Pay (“Rayem Pay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Rayem NA LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Some privacy laws call this role the “controller.” Company details are also listed in our Legal notice.

Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Visitors to our website.
  • Merchants: e-commerce stores, and the people who represent them, that apply to or use Rayem Pay.
  • Shoppers: customers who pay a store whose payments are processed through our platform.

Each store runs its own website and is responsible for its own privacy practices. When you buy from a store, its privacy policy applies as well.

Information we collect

Website visitors

  • Technical data. Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records server logs that include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address and browser information to Google when you open the site.
  • Language preference. If you switch between English and French, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies.

Merchant applicants

Our application form does not send anything to our servers. When you submit it, it opens your own email app with a pre-filled message that you choose to send us. We then receive what that email contains: usually your email address and the name attached to it, your store’s URL, your estimated monthly revenue, and your message. If you call or write to us, we also receive the information you share.

Active merchants

  • Business and identity verification. Stripe collects your business information, details about your representative and owners (such as name, date of birth, address, and ID documents), tax identifiers, and bank account details through its secure hosted onboarding form.
  • What we receive from Stripe. We can access the account information Stripe makes available to platforms, such as your business name and contact details, your representative’s name and address, your verification status, and the last four digits of your bank account. We do not receive your full bank account number or full government ID number.
  • Transaction and dispute data. Payment amounts and dates, refunds, payouts, disputes, and the evidence you provide to contest a dispute.
  • Communications. Emails, calls, and support requests between you and us.

Shoppers

Card details are entered into Stripe’s secure payment fields and processed by Stripe. Rayem Pay never sees or stores your full card number. Through Stripe, we may access limited information about a payment, such as your name, email address, the amount paid, the last four digits of your card, and your shipping address. We use it only to handle disputes, prevent fraud, and process refunds.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Review merchant applications and assess each store’s risk.
  • Open and manage merchant accounts on our Stripe Connect platform.
  • Pay out funds to merchants.
  • Prevent fraud and manage disputes and chargebacks.
  • Provide customer support and answer your requests.
  • Comply with our legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and anti-fraud requirements, and respond to lawful requests.
  • Maintain, secure, and improve our website.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

How we share information

We share personal information only with:

  • Stripe, which processes payments, verifies identities, screens for fraud with Radar, and makes payouts. Stripe handles personal information under its own privacy policy.
  • Vercel, which hosts our website.
  • Google, which serves our website fonts through Google Fonts and provides our email service through Gmail, since our contact address is a Gmail address.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, who are bound by confidentiality.
  • Authorities, when required by law, a court order, or another lawful request, or when needed to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
  • A successor business, if Rayem NA LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. The only information our website stores on your device is your language choice, saved in your browser’s local storage under the key “rayem-lang.” You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Data retention

  • Applications we don’t accept are deleted within 12 months.
  • Merchant and transaction records are kept for as long as the merchant uses Rayem Pay, then for as long as the law requires, generally up to 7 years for financial and tax records.
  • Support emails are kept as long as needed to handle the request and to keep business records.
  • Technical logs are kept according to Vercel’s retention periods.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including limiting access to the people who need it.

Payment data is handled by Stripe, whose infrastructure is certified PCI DSS Level 1. This certification belongs to Stripe, not to Rayem Pay. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and get access to it.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California and other U.S. states

Residents of California, under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Texas, can exercise the rights above. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of that authorization.

Visitors from the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland

Where the GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: performance of a contract, to manage merchant accounts and payouts; our legitimate interests, to prevent fraud, secure the website, and handle disputes; and compliance with our legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

How to exercise your rights

Email us at rayemamby99@gmail.com or call +1 (628) 290-2998. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We respond within 45 days, or sooner where the law requires it, for example within one month under the GDPR. For information that Stripe collects and controls directly, you can also contact Stripe.

International transfers

Rayem NA LLC is based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States. If you visit our website from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on the safeguards offered by our providers, such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

Merchant accounts are available only to businesses represented by adults aged 18 or older. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will notify active merchants by email before it takes effect.
